The question “Where’s the honey?” has become central to how I move through life—and how I help others move through theirs.
Because, as we know, life isn’t always sweet.
Sometimes it’s confusing… overwhelming… disappointing
… or just really hard.
And in those moments, it’s so easy to focus on what’s wrong, what’s missing, or what we think shouldn’t be happening.
I’ve come to see that there is something useful in every experience… something meaningful, something valuable
… something I call “the honey.”
Not in a forced, everything-is-positive kind of way. That doesn't work.
But in a real, grounded, honest kind of way.
If you can see differently...you can live differently.
-Rebecca Troup
There have been many times in my own life where I couldn’t see the 'good stuff' at all. Where things felt heavy or unclear or so frustrating…for me, for my kids, for my family, for the world.
Eventually, I began to understand that if I am going to be happy and survive this life without getting torn apart by it, I have to decide, consistently, to look for the honey - even just a drop.
It's find-able even in the things, people, & experiences we call "bad".
It all has led me to this.
We’re exploring real-life experiences—feeling stuck, letting go, relationships, desperation, feeling powerless—and gently shifting the way we look at them. Which, actually, means to NOT keep looking at them. That's the real path to happiness. I know this by trial and error...
and now sureness.
Nothing needs fixed. Nothing is broken or wrong.
Our perception or interpretation can be way off though.
We must view the 'stuff of life' as it truly is - good information.
Welcome to relief.
If you’ve been in a place where things don’t feel the way
you want them to…
or you’ve been asking yourself, “Why is this happening?
I want to offer you a different question:
Honestly. Where’s the honey in this?
It has taken me years to get here and that's OK, because there's lots of honey in that too, but I can save you time, effort, and struggle - only if, you are ready to stop doing life the hard way.
Let's find your honey.
I've been a teacher in the medical and personal improvement fields for over 35 years.
It's been over 3 years since my first podcast episode. I was recently guided to redirect it from 'Mystical Truths' to 'Where's the Honey?' because that is the real essence of what I teach.
